The Corwin Peddler is an ice cream shop, award winning restaurant and popular bicycle rental & sales store. A favorite to locals and tourists alike, The Corwin Peddler is a must stop on the Little Miami bike trail. The building was renovated in 2006, adding a full gourmet kitchen which allowed the expansion of the menu. Customers enjoy a range of dining experiences, from a quick ice cream cone, to afternoon tea and sandwiches, to traditional British fare such as bangers & mash and cottage pie.
*UPDATE* Wayne Township is now no longer a "dry township". Liquor license is now available for this location.
The property has been meticulously maintained throughout the decades. The main buillding has an impressive open floor plan considering the age of the original structure. This is due to an addition constructed in the mid 1990's as well as the extensive renovations that occurred in 2006. As you enter there is a large room with high ceilings where patrons order ice cream and other food items. There is a wide hallway to the right leading back to two spacious bathrooms. There are two dining rooms, a gourmet kitchen, and the bicycle rental shop which can be accessed from a separate entrance. Upstairs, which is closed to the public, there are three nice sized rooms: an office, a dry storage room, and a full workshop for bicycle maintenance. Outside there is a wrap around porch where customers can enjoy the breeze and shade. Surrounding the building there is an expansive yard that has many tables and lounge areas, a perfect space to take a break from the trail. In the rear of the property there is a well built shed that houses a very large food freezer and also acts as additional storage space.
Due to personal and other professional obligations, the Copple family have reluctantly come to the decision that their chapter as owners of the Peddler must come to an end. They are now looking for a responsible party to carry on the tradition. Purchase includes the 2,608 square foot building, quarter acre lot, and all equipment related to the restaurant and bike rental businesses. In 2008 The Cincinnati Magazine named The Corwin Peddler as the best Trail Food Destination in the greater Cincinnati area
Some reviews for The Corwin Peddler:"Best trail stop in Ohio. Superb. Works well with groups, great food, great variety, great staff. Great asset to the Little Miami Scenic Trail.” 5/5 stars –joanneandterry via TripAdvisor “We can't rate this highly enough! Scale only goes to Excellent. Delicious food, American and English entrees and desserts, handmade delicacies and home make goodies… Thanks to the Copple family for this treasure on the outskirts of Waynesville.” 5/5 stars –CarolHughes1956 via TripAdvisor “Love this Place! Had the pleasure of renting a bicycle last year and this year and was very impressed with the quality of the bike...Wish I lived closer so I could have an opportunity to try the food, but if you’re in the area and looking for something to do, renting a bicycle from Corwin Peddler is a great way to spend the afternoon.” 5/5 stars –Roxanne O. via Yelp
